These are various Hagen Renaker Plaques, all are very hard to find. They were made in 1959 and 1960. Two types of plaques were made and several trays were made. Some of the plaques were sectional and put together on wood, like a puzzle with just a few pieces. The other plaques and all the trays were made of pottery that resembled Arizona Flagstone. An animal design adorns each piece making it look similar to a primitive cave painting on rock.
Hagen Renaker Mosaic Plaques. These first plaques are seperate pieces of pottery, mounted on wood that form an animal or person, almost like puzzle pieces fitted together. The Horse and Rooster Plaques are 11 1/2 inches by 17 1/4 inches. The Geishas are 10 1/2 by 22 inches. All are quite rare.
